Air Products offers a full line of equipment for hydrogen fueling stations. We have extensive experience in the supply of hydrogen to a wide range of vehicles including forklifts, automobiles and buses.
A typical hydrogen fueling station is shown in the diagram below:
Hydrogen is compressed and stored at the fueling station at approximately 7000 psi. This high pressure hydrogen is subsequently delivered to vehicles at 250 or 350 bar. Many of the newest fuel cell vehicles require 700 bar fueling. This is accomplished with the same basic configuration as shown above, with an additional compressor.
Turn-key Fueling Station Designs
Air Products offers fully-integrated fueling stations from hydrogen supply through dispensing. The equipment is designed for minimal installation and can be used with any source of hydrogen. Safety is our top priority, and our fueling stations are no exception. State-of-the-art technology and over fifteen years of experience in hydrogen fueling is incorporated into our dispensers and other station equipment.
Hydrogen Fueler
Our HF-150 mobile fueling unit provides totally self-contained hydrogen dispensing capabilities with zero emissions and no utility hook-ups. The fueling station holds 150 kg of hydrogen, and can be used for both short and long term deployments. These stations have been deployed in numerous locations around the United States, and can be delivered to customers with very short lead-times.
Indoor Fueling Stations for Material Handling
The material handling industry requires hydrogen to be dispensed indoors. Air Products adopted its technology developed for the automotive market for this new application. Integrated fueling stations with wall mounted dispensers are available for 250 and 350 bar fueling requirements.
Customized Fueling Stations
Many of our customers have specific requirements that demand customization. From integrating hydrogen fueling into existing bus terminals, to meeting the needs of retail fueling locations, Air Products has been able to offer low cost options through our extensive experience in fueling stations and industrial hydrogen. We also provide an extensive range of engineering services including fuel monitoring, maintenance service and safety training.
